Everything You Need

Have you ever had one of those moments where everything changes in an instant?
Imagine this: you're sitting in a doctor’s office, and the words hit like a freight train—“You have cancer. You may only have six months to live.” Your world collapses. Then suddenly, the phone rings again: “I’m so sorry, I was looking at the wrong file. That’s not your report.”
In just a few moments, despair turns into unspeakable relief. Fear gives way to joy. Death gives way to life.
That’s exactly what happened in Esther chapter 8. One moment, the Jewish people were under a decree of death—annihilation seemed certain. But in the next moment, divine deliverance flipped the script. What was a death sentence became a reason to celebrate.
This Is Not Just Their Story—It’s Yours Too
You might be thinking, “That’s an ancient story.” But here’s the truth: Esther 8 is your story if you believe in Jesus Christ.
You see, the enemy of your soul had written a decree over your life—a decree of sin, shame, condemnation, and ultimately death. But God, in His mercy, wrote a greater decree. This one was not penned in ink, but in the blood of Jesus on the cross. That decree overrides the old one.
That decree says you are:
Forgiven
Free
Loved
Empowered
Eternally secure in Christ
You don’t have to live like a hopeless victim—you are already walking in divine favor. The Holy Spirit lives in you. That means you already have all the guidance, wisdom, and strength you need to face today’s challenges.
Your Next Step: Walk in That Favor
So what should you do with that kind of favor?
Be active in faith. Don’t just wait for things to get better—start walking, praying, seeking, and moving in faith. Whether you're facing sin, suffering, confusion, or loss, God is with you and guiding you. The Holy Spirit helps you navigate every detail of life.
And in the meantime? Celebrate.
Celebrate the little things—the small victories God gives you every day:
The breath in your lungs
The ability to walk, talk, and think
The fact that you can laugh, love, and live another day
Celebrate these not because life is perfect, but because God's grace is present—even in imperfection.
There are people around the world who would trade places with you in a heartbeat. So don’t take your blessings for granted. Gratitude is an act of faith.
You Are Christ’s Witness
People are watching you. Whether they ever read the Bible or not, you might be the only person who shows them Jesus.
So live like someone who’s been rescued from death. Live with joy, with purpose, with gratitude. Let your life be a witness to the greater decree written over you.
Final Thought: Celebrate Your Deliverance
One day, the full redemption God has promised will be revealed. Every tear will be turned into joy. Every sorrow into dancing.
Until then, celebrate the favor you've already received. Rejoice in the divine deliverance that is both present and still unfolding. Because in Christ, you already have everything you need.
Amen.
